Gluten Free Pizza Dough
Here is a Great Recipe for Thin Crust Gluten Free Pizza Dough
What you will need:
1-1/3 cups warm water
1-1/2 teaspoon dried yeast
1 teaspoon sugar
1-3/4 cups white rice flour
2/3 cup potato starch
1/2 cup corn starch
1-1/2 tsp baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon unflavoured gelatin powder
2 tablespoons oil oil
Method:
Fill a cup with the warm water, and then sprinkle in the yeast and the sugar. Don't stir, jiggle it a bit, but don't stir, and then cover with plastic wrap and set aside for 10 minutes.
Take an 11 x 17 inch baking sheet and line it with parchment paper that you have also brushed on 1 tablespoon of the olive oil, make sure it is spread around well.
In a large bowl, mix all the dry ingredients together well, and then form a hole in the center and pour the yeast mixture into the well, then mix well, it will be a cross between a cake batter and a dough, this is good.
Now stir in the other tablespoon of olive oil, this will make the dough shiny.
Now spread dough using a spatula, onto the prepared parchment paper about 1/4 inch thick.
Pre-bake this crust for 10 minutes in a 450 degree oven and watch it carefully.
Take out of oven and now spread your pizza toppings on it. Start with the tomato sauce, shredded cheese and meats, then put back in the oven and bake for another 15 minutes. This makes a great tasting homemade gluten free pizza.
